Free Standing Emergency Clinic

The Covid-19 pandemic pushed the healthcare industry to unprecedented capacity limits. This free-standing emergency clinic, theoretically located in downtown Dallas, Texas, explores an interior and exterior way of expanding capacity, referred to as surged capacity. The layout also takes into consideration an on-stage/off-stage approach to healthcare design. This gives patients a naturality lit hallway at all points of their visit and gives staff a naturally lit huddle and dispatch point of service.

Modular Residential Tower

Melbourne, Australia is a 21st century booming city, growing with tech startups and a younger demographic. This city is starting to experience the lack of affordable housing, projected to decrease over time. This modular residential tower tackles this problem with a motion to maximize land development. The tower concept requires a minimum lot size of 45ft x 65ft with is fractions of an acre. Due to the angular design, the units will all receive privacy and natural daylight no matter the lot location, be it corner or infill. The unit types are interchangeable in design, so the tower can properly accommodate the local community demographic needs.

Boathouse

The boathouse is located in a theoretical site by Joe Pool Lake in Cedar Hill (a surrounding city of Dallas, Texas). This project was meant to explore the idea of movement and repetition through the jagged architectural form taken from stills of oar movement. The project consists of 2 buildings; one is a student center, the other the boat storage. The site design is prioritized through a main boulevard approach so the buildings do not interfere with the lake view.
